Our Youth Department includes pre-teens up to 25 year olds.  Our purpose is to give our young people a safe space where they can socialise, fellowship and grow spiritually. We meet the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month for our Young People Evenings (YPE) from 19:00-20:30 at our Wood St church location.  We also encourage our primary school age children to attend Children’s Church every 2nd and 4th Sunday which takes place whilst our the main service is taking place.

We also encourage our young people to grow in their gifts and ministry. Together with the support of their Youth Leaders, the children and young people lead church service every 3rd Sunday, known as “Youth Sunday”. Here we see children as young as 3yrs old singing songs onto the Lord, teenagers sharing their praise reports and young adults sharing the word of God in short sermons.

We are truly blessed with wonderful young people in our fellowship. Here at Wood Street Tabernacle we do all we can to encourage our young people in the way of the Lord and this begins from a young age, they are never too young to start a relationship with Jesus and to walk in the way of The Lord. Paul said it best in 1 Timothy 4:12 NIV “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
